Hello! My name is Michael G. Shannon, PT, CSCS, and I am the Vice President for the Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky & Dayton Market. Our market's goal is to enhance the quality of our patients' lives by providing clinical and service excellence. On any given day, our team has the privilege to treat many different types of patients…from senior citizens to collegiate athletes…from working moms to weekend warriors…from industrial athletes to the “average Joe.” We develop individual treatment plans for each patient as no two patients are the same. CARF Accreditation Renewed!
NovaCare's Forest Park, Eastgate and Western Hills centers have received a three year renewal for CARF Accreditation for Comprehensive Occupational Rehabilitation.

This certification allows these centers to provide advanced work hardening services as required per the state of Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.

We are pleased to announce the following developments:
Sports Injury Hotline! (513) 314-6893 If you have questions or concerns regarding the treatment of common sports-related injuries or conditions, call NovaCare Rehabilitation's Sports Injury Hotline. Please leave a detailed message, including a convenient time you can be reach. Calls will be returned within 24 hours. Lymphedema Treatment Available in Western Hills and West Chester! LYMPHEDEMA TREATMENT is for chronic swelling of all or portions of an extremity or trunk which cannot be controlled or significantly eliminated by medication, R.I.C.E., or exercise. Lymphedema can limit mobility, joint flexibility and normal functional activities at home and in the community. The onset of Lymphedema frequently follows S/P breast and prostate cancer diagnoses and associated treatments. However, it can also develop after a joint replacement trauma or an infection in one of the extremities. Our clinical team is fully trained and staffed to provide appropriate treatment, including lymphatic drainage massage and gradient decompression wrapping. We also have aquatic and land exercises available for our patients. Water is a safe and effective medium to exercise specific muscle groups and joints with substantially less compressive forces than other types of exercise. Aquatic therapy techniques are designed to move against the buoyancy of water, facilitating exercise by making movement easier and less painful. NovaCare’s techniques build on water’s natural resistance to improve quality and strength of movement. The therapeutic, non-weight-bearing properties of water create an ideal rehabilitation environment, especially for post-operative patients with back injuries.
